Visiting artist Marieke Coppens in her studio was an experience I will always remember.
Meeting Marieke Coppens in her studio under the beams was very inspiring. Marieke uses different materials and approaches in her work; among other things, she showed us a black tapestry woven by herself, which she has exhibited before.
I will now spend two months working on a conceptual work by her: ‘The O stands for re-enactment scripted chalk rite’ and am curious about the inspiration it will surely give me!
